About the Role:

We’re looking for a sharp, analytical mind to join our Financial Crime Prevention team as a Data Analyst - someone who knows how to turn complex transaction patterns into clear signals of money laundering (ML) or terrorist financing (TF).

As part of our technical team in Financial Crime Prevention and in close collaboration with our subject matter and risk experts, you’ll play a vital role in designing, building, and improving our transaction monitoring and risk scoring capabilities. You’ll collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, developers and subject matter experts to deliver advanced systems to monitor and detect suspicious activities.

Your Mission:

• Design and develop risk-based scenarios and rules for identifying suspicious activity
• Continuously tune and optimize transaction monitoring logic based on performance metrics and emerging threats
• Partner with subject matter experts and investigations teams to translate typologies and regulatory requirements into technical monitoring logic
• Build models and scoring mechanisms to flag high-risk users and merchants
• Use analytics and machine learning to proactively detect new patterns for money laundering and terrorist financing
• Contribute to long-term strategies for automation and scalability in our financial crime prevention platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in AML systems (transaction monitoring and/or risk classification)
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining transaction monitoring scenarios or logic-based rulesets on big data sets
• Understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial crime (e.g. AML, CTF)
• Proficient in SQL and Python
• Experience working with large datasets and building real-time ETL pipelines
• Familiar with code versioning (Git) and collaborative development environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with rules-based monitoring platforms (e.g. Actimize, SAS AML, Oracle Mantas, etc.)
• Experience with data science/ML packages (Pandas, Sklearn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a big advantage
• Understanding of risk-based approaches to monitoring and scoring
• Experience with MLFlow, Apache Spark, and the Databricks platform
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Good understanding of Nordic and European regulatory frameworks related to fraud and AML
• Prior experience working in cross-functional teams
