The role entails a unique opportunity to grow your skills and work systematically in a team with great colleagues, where you will be exposed to all phases of the products that you are working on, from the R&D or design phase to the phase where the product is completed and in operation. The position gives you the opportunity to work in an international environment.
MAIN TASKS
The Naval Architect/Marine Engineer is responsible for the total integrity of a Boat design. This includes ensuring that requirement regards to stability (intact and damaged), weight, center of gravity, capacity, speed, performance, strength are met.
Participate and monitor the product in pre-sales process until the product is delivered to customer.
Ensure the product meets the appropriate international rules and regulations (IMO Solas, EN-, ISO-standards, Classification Society standards etc).
Cooperate closely with other departments as Application Engineering, Sales, Project and Operations.
You will work closely with other members of the Engineering Team, in different phases of a project. The projects includes concept, engineering, prototype building and testing. This will include making technical specifications, stability analysis reports, operation manuals, documentation for class and operations etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Required educational level is minimum bachelor’s degree in Navel Architecture or similar. Strong technical understanding and analytical capabilities.
Minimum work experience in a technical field of at least 2 years.
Overview of all fields of Naval Architecture or boat design is mandatory. Preferable experience with Rhino/Orca software or other.
Basic knowledge of CAD, PDM (NX, Teamcenter) and ERP software.
Knowledge of composite and aluminium materials.
Working language is English.
